Garcia’s (Colonie, NY)

 

Garcia's is located 3/4 mile west of Northway exit 2W at 1614 Central (Rt.5) in Colonie , NY. Our restaurant is just in front of the Howard Johnson Hotel. Watch for our sign and 3 FLAGPOLES* by the road. There is plenty of parking in our front lot and our lot to the left of the hotel building (easy pass-throughs to our entrance).

From Albany

Take Central Ave 3/4 mile past the Northway. We're on the left.
- OR take I-90 to the Northway (I-87). Take exit 2W, then go 3/4 mile and we're on the left.

From Schenectady

Take State St (Rt.5) east. It becomes Central Ave. Go 1 1/4 mile past the intersection with Rt 155 ( New Karner Rd. ) We are on the right just after Jupiter Drive.

From Latham, Clifton Park and Saratoga

Hop on the Northway southbound. Take exit 2W and go 3/4 mile on Central Ave. We're on the left.

From Troy

Take Rt. 7 west to the Northway (I-87). Go south to exit 2W and go 3/4 mile on Central Ave. We're on the left.

From Rensselaer and East Greenbush

Take I-90 west to the Northway (I-87). Take exit 2W and go 3/4 mile on Central Ave. We're on the left.

From Guilderland

Take Rt. 155 ( New Karner Rd. ) east to Central Ave. (Rt.5). Turn right on Central and go 1 1/4 mile. We're on the right just after Jupiter Dr .

From the NYS Thruway

Get off at exit 24. Immediately get on the Northway (I-87 north) and then take exit 2W. Go 3/4 mile on Central Ave. (Rt.5 west) and we're on the left.

From Mexico City

Take San Luis Potesi to Laredo Texas (pay $5 US to get over the bridge) 35 north to 30 east to 40 east to 80 north to 81 north to 87 north to thruway exit 24. Continue on I-87. Take exit 2W and go 3/4 mile on Central Ave. We're on the left.

Driving time….57 hours non-stop! (we actually have a cook who takes his family on this trip once a year and they drive it non-stop!)

*3 FLAGPOLES ! If you can correctly identify the three flags we have flying Garcia's will award you a prize! (Hint….. the flags are not all from countries)
